Sakai Sanryo (1897-1969) was a Japanese-style painter from Fukushima and was a pupil of Bannai Seiran. After the establishment of Fukuyokai Art Group, he got to know Ogawa Usen and kept their friendship for life. He dedicated himself to painting village life and nature with resonance.
