Tazaki Soun (1815-1898) was a literati painter. He served as a feudal retainer of Ashikaga clan and devoted himself into the movement advocating reverence for the Emperor in the end of the Edo period. After the Meiji Restoration, he focused on painting and led the realm of the literati painting.
